An exhibition of childhood and memory at ThessFringe in Thessaloniki, Anastasiya Zinovieva presents the raw and intimate look into Soviet life.

 

The Room of Our Childhood is a precious and intimate journey into a world, that we rarely get to see. A transformed space will take you to the bygone era of a family's everyday life in a small town in the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union. This video installation and performance art project is a unique and immersive experience that combines archival footage of an ordinary family's life with a powerful storytelling element.

“The Room of Our Childhood” είναι ένα ανεκτίμητο και ενδόμυχο ταξίδι σε έναν κόσμο που σπάνια βλέπουμε. Ένας μεταμορφωμένος χώρος θα σας μεταφέρει στην περασμένη εποχή της καθημερινότητας μιας οικογένειας σε μια μικρή πόλη μετά την κατάρρευση της Σοβιετικής Ένωσης. Συνδυάζοντας για αυτό το έργο εγκατάσταση βίντεο και ερμηνεία δημιουργείται μια μοναδική και καθηλωτική εμπειρία που συνδυάζει αρχειακό υλικό από τη ζωή μιας συνηθισμένης οικογένειας με συγκλονιστικές αφηγήσεις.
